The conference app for retail and consumer brands
Retail's event calendar is dictated by the trading year. Everything happens in the two windows either side of peak, aimed at store managers who do not sit at a desk and have twenty minutes.
A planning figure for a national store manager conference. Regional field meetings run far smaller and often inside the free tier.
A calendar dictated by the trading year
This page covers the events a retailer or consumer brand runs: store and district manager conferences, seasonal brand launches, buyer and trade partner days, field team meetings and franchise or licensee gatherings. event67 provides the programme, capacity-controlled training, push announcements, sponsor pages and analytics under the brand's own name. It has no ticketing, no lead capture, no offline mode and no integration with your workforce systems.
The store manager conference
Once a year, the whole field in one room ahead of the trading season. Tracks by format, region or banner, product and operations sessions, and a personal agenda so a store manager sees only their own day. Upvoted Q&A at the operations session surfaces the questions the field actually has about staffing, allocation or the new system, which is better heard in the room than in a district WhatsApp group.
Seasonal brand and range launches
The running order, product sessions with the people who built the range, and reactions during the reveal. A poll immediately after the launch gives merchandising a reading from exactly the audience that has to sell it, and it should be written before anybody is on stage.
Buyer and trade partner days
Wholesale buyers and trade partners in a room of appointments and presentations. The schedule, the directory and the announcements. The gap is important: there is no appointment booking and no matchmaking, so the appointment grid is built and run outside the app.
Field team and district meetings
The long tail, mostly under fifty activated attendees and therefore free. Per-event moderator roles let a district manager run their own without touching the brand's account, and each meeting keeps its own questions and feedback so a pattern across districts becomes visible.
Franchisee and licensee gatherings
Where a brand operates through franchisees, the annual meeting behaves like a franchise convention: tracks by tenure and region, supplier pages by tier, a ranked question list at the operations panel and an archive of it afterwards.
What changes for the field
The field can be reached in one action
Push notifications deep-link to the announcement itself. For a store workforce that does not read email, this is the only channel with real reach, and it is the capability retail teams report using most.
Training sessions stop overselling
Server-enforced RSVP capacity with automatic waitlist promotion. The systems training room seats what it seats, and drop-outs are replaced without anyone administering a list.
The brand owns the app
Published under the brand's own name in both stores with its identity across every screen. For a consumer brand that controls every other customer-facing surface, an event app carrying a vendor's name is an odd exception.
A cost that fits a seasonal calendar
Each event is billed on its own turnout with its own free fifty, and the per-event price stops rising at a thousand activated attendees. For a calendar of two big events and thirty small ones, that shape is unusually favourable.
The field calendar stops being invisible to head office
District meetings and store-level briefings usually leave no record at all, so head office learns what the field thinks only through its district managers. Running each as its own event, most inside the free tier, means the questions asked in Leeds and in Bristol are both written down with their vote counts. Read across thirty of them and a pattern appears that no district report would have surfaced.
What retail will look for and not find
The first two are the ones that end pilots in this sector.
- Invites are sent to an email address. Store colleagues without a company address need a personal one collected, which is a project with its own consent questions rather than a setup step.
- No offline mode. Stockrooms and back offices with no signal are a real constraint, and there is no cached schedule.
- No workforce management, scheduling or shift integration.
- No learning management, completion records, certificates or training compliance tracking.
- No appointment booking or matchmaking for buyer days.
- No ticketing, registration or payments.
- No exhibitor lead retrieval, badge scanning or floor plans for a trade day.
- No single sign-on and no HR system integration.
- No shared-device or kiosk mode. Each activated attendee is an individual account.
What a 720-manager conference costs
Seven hundred and twenty store and district managers activate. Fifty are free and the rest are billable once for the whole conference, however many days it runs.
- activated attendees
- 720activated attendees
- billable, after the first 50 are free
- 670billable, after the first 50 are free
- for the whole event, at $5.00 each
- $3,350for the whole event, at $5.00 each
District and field meetings through the year are separate events, each with their own free fifty. Most of them cost nothing.
Access, records and practical constraints
The things a retail operations team should establish before a pilot rather than during one.
| Control | What exists |
|---|---|
| Roles | Four levels: super admin, organization admin, moderator and attendee. A district manager can be scoped to one event. |
| Audit | Team chat and billing carry audit trails. Moderation actions are not logged. |
| Attendance | Check-in gives an operational arrivals count. It is not a training completion record. |
| Identity | Email invite, claimed by the attendee. No SSO, no HR sync, no shared-device mode. |
| Connectivity | Network required. No offline schedule or announcement cache. |
| Attendee privacy | Each attendee chooses what appears on their own profile. Event sites are not indexed by search engines. |

What it costs
- Free up to 50
- activated attendees, on one live event
- $5
- per activated attendee beyond 50
- $4,750
- the most one event can ever cost, whatever happens past 1,000
Activated means the person claimed their invite and opened the app. Not when you import them, not when the invite is delivered, and not if they register and stay home.
Questions people actually ask
Can store colleagues without a company email use it?
Only with an email address of some kind, because that is how an invite is sent and claimed. For a store workforce this usually means collecting personal addresses, which raises consent questions worth settling with your people team before a pilot rather than during one.
Does it work without a signal in a stockroom?
No. There is no offline mode and no cached schedule. If your venue or your stores have poor coverage, test it before relying on the app for anything time-critical.
Can we track training completion for compliance?
No. There is no learning management, no completion record, no certificate and no compliance tracking. Check-in gives an operational arrivals count and sessions collect feedback; the record of completion has to live in your learning system.
Can buyers book appointments through the app?
No. There is no appointment booking, no scheduling and no matchmaking. The appointment grid for a buyer day is built and run outside event67, which carries the schedule and the announcements around it.
How do we reach the field quickly during the conference?
Push announcements, which deep-link to the post itself. Scheduled announcements let you write the day's messages in advance, which for a conference team running a stage is the difference between messages going out and being remembered.
What does the annual conference cost at most?
The per-event price stops rising at a thousand activated attendees, so there is a fixed ceiling for any single event. Managers who cannot travel never activate and are never billed.
Can we run it for a franchise estate as well as owned stores?
Yes, and the shape is the same as any franchise system: tracks by tenure and region, supplier pages by tier, and a ranked question list at the operations session. Each event bills on its own turnout, so an owned-store conference and a franchisee meeting are simply two events.
How far ahead should we start before a peak-season conference?
The event, theme, programme and invites are a same-day job. The part with an external clock is publishing a branded app under your brand's name to the App Store and Google Play, because store review timing is not ours to control. Start that well before the trading window closes on your team's attention.
