Frequently asked questions

Twenty-four questions, answered without a form in the way. If yours is not here, hello@event67.com reaches somebody who can change the product, and there is nothing you have to fill in first.

Billing and cancellation

When are we charged?

48 hours after the event ends, never before. A live meter runs in the console from the day the event is published, and the amount is emailed to you before any card is charged.

What if the event is cancelled?

An event that does not run has no activated attendees, so there is nothing to bill. There is no cancellation fee and no commitment to break, because you never committed to a licence in the first place.

What if far fewer people show up than we expected?

You pay for the people who actually activated. That is the point of metering on activation rather than on a licence tier bought in advance.

Can we get an invoice rather than paying by card?

Payment runs through Stripe and billing is organizer-facing. If your organisation needs a different arrangement, ask at hello@event67.com before your event rather than after it.

Is there a contract or a minimum term?

Not on the standard per-event pricing. You run an event, you are billed for that event, and there is nothing to renew or cancel. A Season Pass is an annual prepayment and is a separate arrangement.

Setting it up

How long does setup take?

An afternoon in the console for a straightforward event: sessions, speakers, sponsors, theme, import, invite. Add two to three weeks if you want a branded app live in the App Store and Google Play, because store review is a queue nobody controls.

Do we need a developer?

No, and there is nothing for one to do. No code, no build, no repository. What you need is somebody who can organise a programme and a spreadsheet.

Our event is in ten days. Is that possible?

Yes, on the browser event site, which has no store review in front of it. A branded store listing in ten days is not realistic, and anybody promising it is describing a queue they do not control.

Can we change things after the event has started?

Content and theme, yes, immediately and without an app update. Sessions, rooms, times, speakers, sponsors, announcements, colours and logo are all served from the backend. The app's name and icon in the store are the exception.

Platforms and access

Which platforms does the app run on?

iOS, Android and the browser. The mobile app is published to the App Store and Google Play under your own name rather than inside a vendor container, and the browser event site serves attendees who will not install anything.

Do attendees have to download an app?

No. The same claim link opens the event in a browser with the schedule, speakers and forms. The live features are better in the app, but nobody is locked out for refusing to install.

Whose name is the app published under?

Yours. It can sit under your organisation's Apple and Google developer accounts, which makes the listing unambiguously your property, or under ours if you would rather skip the account setup.

Does it work offline?

Not meaningfully. Check-in scans, QR connections, Q&A and polls all write to the backend, so the venue needs connectivity. Foyers are frequently the worst-covered part of a building, so treat a hotspot at the door as part of the kit.

Data and privacy

Where is our data stored?

Processed primarily in the United States, on Google Cloud Run for the API, Firebase for authentication and storage, and Amazon Simple Email Service for email. There is no choice of residency region.

Does event67 record what attendees type?

No. Our telemetry records the fact and type of an action and never the text inside it, so questions, chat content and search terms are not analytics data. We do not sell data or share it with ad networks.

Do you have SOC 2 or ISO 27001?

No, and neither HIPAA, FedRAMP nor a published VPAT. If one of those is a hard requirement, event67 will not pass your review, and the security page lists the full set of assurances we do not hold.

How does an attendee delete their data?

By emailing privacy@event67.com or using the delete-account page, answered within 30 days. Attendees have no in-app deletion button, and a deletion today removes the attendee record without yet reaching questions, photos or feedback held against the event. Both are gaps we name rather than leave you to find.

What it does not do

Does event67 sell tickets?

No. There is no registration, ticketing or payment of any kind, and forms collect responses rather than money. Keep the registration platform you have and import the resulting list.

Can exhibitors capture leads?

No. There is no lead retrieval, badge scanning for exhibitors or CRM sync. The QR feature connects two attendees to each other and produces no lead record.

Can you stream sessions?

No. There is no streaming, no hybrid session support, no on-demand video and no virtual booths. event67 is for events where people are in a room.

What else is deliberately absent?

Badge printing, interactive floor plans and wayfinding, AI matchmaking, 1:1 meeting scheduling, continuing-education credit tracking and certificates, call for papers and abstract review, speaker portals, verifiable credential badges, and gamification. The about page keeps the full list and it is stable rather than a roadmap.

Questions people actually ask

How much does event67 cost?

The first 50 activated attendees on any event are free. Each activated attendee after that costs $5. One event can never cost more than $4,750, no matter how many people turn up. There is no platform fee, no setup fee and no annual minimum.

What does activated mean?

An attendee is activated when they claim their invite and open the app. Not when you import them, not when the invite is delivered, and not if they register and stay home. Invites are unlimited and are never the thing you are billed for.

What happens above 1,000 attendees?

Nothing, to the price. The meter stops at 950 billable attendees, which is 1,000 activated including the free 50. An event with 1,000 people and an event with 5,000 people cost the same $4,750.

Is there really a free plan?

Yes. One live event, up to 50 activated attendees, with the whole feature set, the full branded theme and bulk invites. No card and no trial clock counting down.

Do you charge per admin, per session or per feature?

No, to all three. There is no seat charge for your team, no per-session or per-track fee, and no feature tier. Activated attendees are the only meter.

Do attendees pay anything?

Never. Attendees are not charged and there is no purchase anywhere in the app. The organizer is billed.

What about other currencies?

Local flat prices exist in US dollars, euros, pounds, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars. They are local prices, not conversions of the US price, and we will not present them as conversions. The currency is chosen when an event is created and locks when it goes live.

Is there a discount for running many events?

The Season Pass is a prepaid pool of attendee credits, drawn down across unlimited events, at a lower effective rate. The 50 free seats still apply on every event, credits roll over for twelve months, and overage bills at the standard rate rather than a penalty.
