The conference app for manufacturing
Manufacturing's event problem is a workforce problem. The people you most need to reach are on a line, on a shift pattern, or in a truck, and none of them are reading an intranet post.
A planning figure for a distributor or dealer network conference. Plant town halls in this sector are usually much smaller and often free.
An event problem that is really a workforce problem
This page covers the events a manufacturer or industrial distributor runs: dealer and distributor conferences, sales meetings, safety and technical training, plant town halls, and supplier days. event67 provides the programme, capacity-controlled training sessions, push announcements and analytics under the company's own brand. It has no HR system integration, no single sign-on, no credit or certification tracking and no offline mode.
Dealer and distributor conferences
Product launches, technical sessions, commercial updates and an operations panel. Tracks by territory or product line let a dealer principal and a service manager both find a full day. Upvoted Q&A at the commercial session means the pricing question the room actually has gets asked, which in a dealer network is better raised in the room than in the car park.
Safety and technical training
Sessions with true room capacity enforced on the server, automatic waitlist promotion, and per-session feedback collected while the session is still in the room. The boundary is firm and it matters here more than in most sectors: attendance in event67 is an operational record, not a compliance record. It issues no certificates and tracks no certifications.
Plant town halls for a deskless workforce
Shift patterns mean a single all-hands never reaches everyone. Questions collected in advance with upvoting let people on nights contribute, push announcements deep-link to the post rather than to a home screen, and each town hall is its own event so participation can be compared across quarters. Note the practical constraint: many production staff have no company email address, and the invite is sent to an email address.
Supplier days and technical partner meetings
Suppliers appear as tier-ordered pages with logos, descriptions and websites, attached to the sessions they support. Visibility, not lead capture; there is no scanning and no contact export.
Regional and plant-level events
Each is its own event with its own free fifty activated attendees, so most plant-level gatherings cost nothing. Per-event moderator roles let a plant coordinator run their own without corporate account access, and team chat and billing carry audit trails.
What changes for a deskless workforce
A channel that reaches people who are not at a desk
Push notifications on a phone are the only reliable route to a deskless workforce, and they deep-link to the announcement rather than dropping someone in an app they then have to navigate.
Training rooms hold their real capacity
Server-enforced RSVP limits with automatic waitlist promotion. A safety session sized for twenty seats twenty, and the coordinator stops reconciling a sign-up sheet.
The dealer network's questions become visible
Ranked by how many dealers want them asked, and kept in the archive with their vote counts. For a manufacturer managing a franchised or independent network, that is a better read on the field than any survey.
The cost stops at a thousand
The per-event price stops rising at a thousand activated attendees, so a conference that grows with the network does not grow this line.
Plant-level events stop being ungoverned
Site meetings and toolbox sessions usually run on paper and leave no trace. Running each as its own event, most of them inside the free tier, produces an arrivals count and per-session feedback as a by-product. Say clearly what that is: an operational record, not a training compliance record, and not a substitute for whatever system currently evidences competency.
The gaps, including two that are specific to a deskless workforce
The email and offline constraints below are practical rather than theoretical and they have ended pilots.
- Invites are sent to an email address. Production staff without a company email address need a personal address collected, which is a real project rather than a configuration step.
- No offline mode. The app needs a network, and plant floors and rural dealer sites frequently do not have one. Test coverage before committing.
- No safety certification, credit or competency tracking, and no certificates. Attendance here is operational, not a compliance record.
- No HR system integration and no single sign-on. The attendee list is a CSV import.
- No shift or workforce scheduling.
- No streaming for a broadcast to multiple plants.
- No exhibitor lead retrieval, badge printing or floor plans for a dealer show.
- No ticketing or payments.
- No shared-device or kiosk mode. Each activated attendee is an individual account.
What a 480-dealer conference costs
Four hundred and eighty dealers and staff activate. Fifty are free and the rest are billable once for the whole conference. Invited dealers who never open the app are not billed.
- activated attendees
- 480activated attendees
- billable, after the first 50 are free
- 430billable, after the first 50 are free
- for the whole event, at $5.00 each
- $2,150for the whole event, at $5.00 each
Plant town halls and regional training run as separate events, each with their own free fifty. Most fall inside it.
Access, records and the training boundary
The distinction in the last row is the one that gets a manufacturer into trouble if it is assumed rather than checked.
| Control | What exists |
|---|---|
| Roles | Four levels: super admin, organization admin, moderator and attendee. A plant coordinator can be scoped to one event. |
| Audit | Team chat and billing carry audit trails. Moderation actions are not logged. |
| Attendance | Check-in produces an operational arrivals record. It is not a certified training attendance record and must not be used as one. |
| Certification | Not tracked, not verified, not issued. There is no partial version of this feature. |
| Attendee privacy | Each attendee chooses what appears on their own profile. Event sites are not indexed by search engines. |
| Connectivity | Network required. There is no offline cache of the schedule or announcements. |

What it costs
- Free up to 50
- activated attendees, on one live event
- $5
- per activated attendee beyond 50
- $4,750
- the most one event can ever cost, whatever happens past 1,000
Activated means the person claimed their invite and opened the app. Not when you import them, not when the invite is delivered, and not if they register and stay home.
Questions people actually ask
Can production staff without company email use it?
Only if you have an email address for them. Invites are sent to an email address and claimed by the attendee. For a workforce without company accounts this means collecting personal addresses, which is a genuine project with its own consent questions rather than a setup step. Establish it before you pilot.
Does it work on a plant floor with no signal?
No. There is no offline mode. The app fetches the schedule and announcements over the network, so a site with poor coverage is a real constraint. Test it in the actual building before relying on it for a safety briefing.
Can we use check-in as a training attendance record?
As an operational record, yes. As a compliance record, no. event67 does not verify attendance duration, track certifications or issue certificates, and it is not designed to satisfy a regulatory training obligation.
Does it integrate with our HR system?
No. There is no HR integration and no single sign-on. The attendee list is a CSV export imported per event, with no live sync and no automatic removal when someone leaves.
Can several plants join one town hall?
They can share the agenda, the questions, the voting and the announcements. They cannot share a broadcast, because event67 does not stream. Run the video on your existing platform alongside it.
How do dealers ask difficult commercial questions?
Through upvoted Q&A, where the question that gets answered is the one the most dealers voted for. Questions are attributed rather than anonymous, though moderation decisions are not logged.
Can one account cover several plants?
Yes. The console is multi-tenant with organization admins and per-event moderators, so each site runs its own calendar under one organisation and team chat and billing carry audit trails. Each site's events carry their own free fifty activated attendees.
What about contractors and agency staff?
They are invited like anyone else, at an email address you import, and they count towards activation only if they claim the invite and open the app. There is no separate contractor account type and no automatic removal when an assignment ends, so the invite list is the access control and it needs maintaining.
