The conference app for professional services firms
Law, accounting and consulting firms run two event types that could not be more different: a confidential partner retreat for forty, and a client summit for six hundred where the firm is on display.
A planning figure for a firm's flagship client event. Partner retreats in this sector are frequently under fifty and therefore free.
Two event types that could not differ more
This page covers the events a law firm, accountancy, consultancy or advisory business runs: partner retreats and firm-wide meetings, client summits and thought-leadership events, practice group conferences, and internal training. event67 provides the programme, the directory, moderated Q&A, feedback and analytics under the firm's own brand, and events are private by default. It does not track CPD, CLE or CPE credits and it is not a client confidentiality system.
Partner retreats and firm-wide meetings
Small, senior and genuinely confidential. Invites reach only imported addresses, event sites are not indexed by search engines, and there is no public listing anywhere. Under fifty activated attendees a partner retreat costs nothing at all, with the whole feature set. Live polls give a facilitator a distribution in thirty seconds rather than forty minutes of round-robin, though responses are attributed rather than anonymous, which matters in a partnership.
Client summits and thought-leadership events
The firm on display in front of the people who pay it. Tracks by sector or service line, moderated Q&A so a panel is not ambushed, and a searchable directory so clients can find each other, which is frequently the real draw. The app is published under the firm's own name in both stores, with the firm's identity across every screen.
Practice group and sector conferences
A tax conference or a sector day behaves like a small professional conference: tracks, sessions with speakers and rooms, workshops with real capacity enforced on the server, and per-session feedback. The gap to settle first is credits, which are not tracked.
Internal training and knowledge sessions
Recurring sessions, each their own event with its own free fifty activated attendees, so most cost nothing. Q&A opened in advance gives a presenter the questions before they stand up. Attendance here is operational and not a CPD record.
Graduate and recruitment events
Open days and assessment centres run as events with a schedule, capacity-controlled sessions and announcements. There is no CV collection, no application handling and no interview scheduling, so the recruitment machinery stays in your applicant tracking system.
What changes for a partnership
Retreats become free rather than unaffordable
Under fifty activated attendees, one live event costs nothing with everything included. For a partnership that previously ran retreats on paper because an app could not be justified, that changes the calculation entirely.
Client events look like the firm
Branded apps published under the firm's own name, with its colours and typography. For a business selling judgment and polish, a client-facing app carrying a vendor's logo is a small but real inconsistency.
The difficult partnership question gets asked
Upvoted Q&A at a firm-wide meeting means the question about compensation, strategy or merger arrives ranked rather than left in the corridor. Attribution cuts both ways here and is worth deciding on deliberately.
Client contacts belong to the clients
QR connections are attendee to attendee and never reach a CRM. For a client summit that is a point of trust rather than a limitation, and it is worth saying to clients explicitly.
Practice groups stop waiting on marketing
In most firms every client event routes through one marketing team, and the small ones simply do not happen. Per-event moderator roles let a practice group run its own seminar without central access, and under fifty activated attendees it costs nothing, so a partner can test a client format without a budget conversation. The flagship client summit stays centrally controlled.
The gaps, credits first
Professional bodies award credits and firms are asked to evidence them. event67 does none of it.
- No CPD, CLE, CPE or CE credit tracking. No attendance-duration verification, no credit rules and no certificates. For a firm claiming credits for internal training, this is decisive.
- No client conflict checking, matter management or confidentiality controls beyond ordinary event access. event67 is not a client system and must not carry matter information.
- No anonymous questions or polls. Everything is attributed, which in a partnership can suppress exactly the question you needed.
- No single sign-on and no HR or practice management integration. The attendee list is a CSV import.
- No streaming for a hybrid client event.
- No CV collection, application handling or interview scheduling for graduate recruitment.
- No ticketing or payments.
- No regulated communications archive. The reports archive is an operational record only.
What a 340-attendee client summit costs
Three hundred and forty clients and partners activate. Fifty are free and the rest are billable once for the whole summit, however many sessions each person attends.
- activated attendees
- 340activated attendees
- billable, after the first 50 are free
- 290billable, after the first 50 are free
- for the whole event, at $5.00 each
- $1,450for the whole event, at $5.00 each
A partner retreat of fifty or fewer activated attendees is free outright, with the complete feature set and no card.
Confidentiality, roles and the credit boundary
The questions a firm's risk function will ask, answered as mechanisms.
| Control | What exists |
|---|---|
| Confidentiality | Invites reach only imported addresses. Event sites are noindex and nofollow, with no public listing anywhere. |
| Content posture | Q&A and photos each run open, moderated or admin-only, set before the event opens. |
| Roles | Four levels: super admin, organization admin, moderator and attendee. Scope is per event. |
| Audit | Team chat and billing carry audit trails. Moderation actions are not logged. |
| Client matter data | Not supported and not permitted. event67 holds event attendee data, session content, questions and photographs only. |
| Credits | Not tracked, not verified, not certified. There is no partial version of this feature. |

What it costs
- Free up to 50
- activated attendees, on one live event
- $5
- per activated attendee beyond 50
- $4,750
- the most one event can ever cost, whatever happens past 1,000
Activated means the person claimed their invite and opened the app. Not when you import them, not when the invite is delivered, and not if they register and stay home.
Questions people actually ask
Does it track CPD or CLE credits?
No. There is no credit tracking, no attendance-duration verification and no certificate generation. If your firm claims credits for internal training or for a client seminar, those records have to be kept in a separate system.
How confidential is a partner retreat?
Invites go only to the email addresses you import, the event site carries noindex and nofollow, and there is no public directory of events. Q&A and photos can be set to admin-only before anything opens. What it is not is a client confidentiality system: no matter information should ever be entered.
Are polls at a partners' meeting anonymous?
No. Responses and questions are attributed. In a partnership that can be exactly wrong for a sensitive discussion, and it is worth deciding before planning a session around a poll rather than afterwards.
Can clients keep the connections they make?
Yes, and they belong to the clients rather than to the firm. QR connections are attendee to attendee, persist in both apps after the event, and never reach a CRM. Saying that plainly to clients tends to raise participation rather than lower it.
Is a retreat for forty really free?
Yes. One live event with up to fifty activated attendees costs nothing, with the complete feature set, the branded theme and bulk invites, and no card required. The fifty-first activated attendee is the first one that costs anything.
Can we use it for graduate recruitment days?
For the schedule, the sessions and the announcements, yes. Not for the recruitment itself: there is no CV collection, no application handling and no interview scheduling. That stays in your applicant tracking system.
Can clients and staff be in the same event without seeing everything?
Tracks separate the programme and each attendee's own agenda shows their path, but the full schedule stays browsable and the directory shows who is attending. It is a usability separation rather than access control, so an internal session you would not want a client to see should be a separate event rather than a hidden track.
Does the firm get the connections clients make?
No, and that is worth telling clients. A QR connection belongs to the two attendees who made it, persists in both their apps, and never reaches a CRM or an export. Firms that say so explicitly tend to see more of their clients using the directory rather than less.
