Associations screen event apps on two questions before any demo: does it track credits, and does it handle abstracts. event67 does neither, so the answer is at the top of this page rather than buried in it.

The five things an association's year is made of
An association event app carries the annual meeting, the chapter programme and the member education calendar for a membership organisation, under the association's own brand. event67 does the programme, the member directory, live Q&A, member networking, feedback and analytics. It does not track continuing-education credits, manage abstracts, run elections or hold membership records, and for many associations at least one of those is decisive.
The annual meeting, which is the whole year in three days
Most associations run one event that matters and several that support it. The annual meeting has a business session, an education programme across several tracks, an exhibit hall and a social calendar, and it is planned by a small staff with a volunteer programme committee. event67 carries the programme with tracks, rooms and speakers, and each member's own agenda pins to the top of their screen. Session view counts before the meeting tell the committee which rooms will be tight while there is still time to move them.
The business session, run by a chair who needs cover
Reports, accounts, resolutions and, in many associations, an election. Enter the order of business as timed items with the paper attached to each. Upvoted Q&A gives the chair a ranked list, which is a much easier thing to defend than a judgment call about who at the microphone speaks next. Moderation actions are not audit-logged. The vote itself has to happen elsewhere, because event67 has no balloting.
Education sessions with real seat limits
Workshops, clinics and roundtables have hard capacity. RSVPs are enforced on the server with automatic waitlist promotion, so a popular session neither oversells nor runs half empty because nobody replaced the drop-outs. For an association whose members pay for education, an accurate seat allocation is a service level rather than a convenience.
Member networking, which is why most members renew
A searchable member directory with profiles, interests and links, plus QR connections scanned in person, is the mechanism. Members choose what appears on their own profile, which matters more in a professional body than in a corporate setting. Connections persist after the meeting ends, which is the part members actually value.
Chapter events across the year
Associations run a long tail of small regional events between annual meetings. Each is its own event with its own free fifty activated attendees, which for a chapter meeting of forty means it costs nothing at all. Roles let a chapter volunteer moderate their own event without being given the association's whole account.

The programme committee gets evidence instead of recollection
Session ratings by track, attendance against the registered list, and the archive of every question asked. Programme committees have historically argued from memory. A ranked list of what members asked is a different kind of input.
Staff stop being the schedule
A small association staff spends the meeting answering where-is-what. A live schedule and push announcements that deep-link to the changed session move that load off people and onto the app, which is felt most on the day the programme slips.
The app is the association's, not a vendor's
Branded apps are published to the App Store and Google Play under the association's own name, with its logo, colours and typography flowing through every screen. For a membership organisation whose brand is the product, this is not cosmetic.
The cost stops
The per-event price stops rising at a thousand activated attendees, so a meeting that grows does not grow this line. For an association budgeting a year ahead against an uncertain registration count, a ceiling is worth more than a rate.
Chapters stop waiting for head office
The bottleneck in most associations is that every chapter event routes through two people at the national office. Per-event moderator roles hand a chapter volunteer exactly the access they need for their own meeting and nothing else, though audit trails cover team chat and billing only, so that delegation is not itself logged. The national team keeps the brand and the standards; the chapter keeps its own calendar.
The gaps associations screen for, stated plainly
These are the requirements that most often disqualify an event app for an association, and event67 fails several of them. Every one of these is confirmed absent rather than on a roadmap. If credits or abstracts are mandatory for your meeting, stop here rather than spending a demo finding out.

Roles, records and accessibility
Association procurement asks about control and about accessibility, usually in that order. Here is what exists and what does not.

Activated means the person claimed their invite and opened the app. Not when you import them, not when the invite is delivered, and not if they register and stay home.
Questions people actually ask
Does event67 track CEU or CME credits?
No. There is no credit tracking, no attendance-duration verification and no certificate issuing of any kind. If your annual meeting awards credits, you need a separate system of record for them. Many associations run credits on their existing platform and use event67 for the programme, the networking and the feedback.
Can we manage abstracts and a call for papers?
No. There is no submission, no peer review, no scoring and no ePosters. Speakers appear in the app with a bio, a room and their sessions once the programme is set; everything before that happens elsewhere.
Does it integrate with our association management system?
No. The supported path is a CSV import of the attendee list for each event. There is no live sync and no write-back of attendance to member records. For most associations the annual import is workable; if you need bidirectional sync, this is not the right tool.
Can members vote in the business session?
No. There is no balloting, no proxies and no election management. Live polls read the sense of the room and should always be described that way to members. Formal votes belong in a governance tool.
What about accessibility conformance?
There is a WCAG AA contrast check inside the theme editor that warns and confirms before a save, and never blocks one. There is no VPAT and no formal conformance report. If your procurement requires conformance documentation, that is a genuine barrier and we would rather say so now than at the end of an evaluation.
What does it cost for chapter events?
Each chapter event is its own event with its own free fifty activated attendees, so a chapter meeting of forty costs nothing. If your calendar is dense, prepaid credits pool across every event in the year instead.
Can we run the annual meeting and the exhibit hall in one app?
The programme and the exhibitor listing, yes: exhibitors appear as tier-ordered pages with logos, descriptions and websites. The exhibit hall's own machinery, meaning lead retrieval, badge scanning, badge printing and a floor plan, does not exist here and needs a separate vendor.
Can we use one app across the annual meeting and the whole chapter calendar?
Yes, and most associations do. The console is multi-tenant, so the annual meeting and forty chapter events sit in the same organisation with different moderators. Each event bills on its own turnout with its own free fifty activated attendees, so the chapter calendar is usually close to free, and the annual meeting is the only line that carries real cost.
What happens to member data when an event ends?
The event and its reports archive stay in the console, including questions, poll results and photographs. Member profiles belong to the members, who choose what they show. Attendee account deletion is handled by request through a published address and a web page rather than inside the app, which is a known gap and worth mentioning to a privacy-conscious board before you roll out.
