What is an exhibitor?
An exhibitor is a company that pays for stand space at an event in order to meet attendees, usually with commercial targets attached to the number and quality of conversations.
exhibitor in detail
Also written as vendor, stand holder.
An exhibitor buys floor space to meet buyers. That distinguishes them from a sponsor, who buys visibility, though many events sell both to the same company.
In practice at an event
An exhibitor’s staff work the stand, scan visitors’ badges, and go home with a list they hand to a sales team. Their internal justification for next year rests on that list and what it turned into.
Everything an exhibitor needs from event software follows from it: booth scanning that works offline in a hall where connectivity fails, qualification notes captured at the moment of the scan, an export or sync into a CRM, and a stand location that is on the route people actually walk.
What to look for
If your event has exhibitors, exhibitor tooling is a primary requirement rather than a line in the middle of a matrix. Attendee-facing features do not substitute for it, and neither do sponsor listings.
Be careful with consent. An exhibitor gets the details of attendees who chose to give them, at a scan or a form. Selling the full attendee list is a different thing and it damages the trust the event runs on.
Where event67 stands
Exhibitor is not a persona event67 serves. There is no lead retrieval, no booth scanning, no exhibitor portal and no CRM sync, and none of these is planned within the claims of this site.
The confusion worth heading off: event67 does have QR scanning, and it connects two attendees who have just met. It produces no exhibitor record. If exhibitors are central to your event’s economics, an attendee app is one part of your stack and lead retrieval is another.
