Personify A2Z Events alternative: event67 covers the attendee app, not the exhibit hall

Personify A2Z Events is trade-show management software — interactive floor plans, exhibitor management, booth and sponsorship sales with online contracts, and the financials underneath them. event67 has none of that, and this page will not pretend otherwise. What event67 has is the app the people walking that show floor hold in their hands, and that is the only surface where the two products meet.

What people are really weighing when they search this

Personify A2Z Events (A2Z Events and Personify are trademarks of Personify Corp, now part of Momentive Software) is sold to trade associations, chambers of commerce, member-based organisations and independent show organisers, from startups up to Gold 100 tradeshow scale, according to its own product page (accessed 3 September 2026). Ownership has moved: a banner on Personify's own homepage states that "Personify is now part of Momentive Software", the company that was formerly Community Brands (accessed 3 September 2026). It is worth writing the product's name out in full each time, because it appears variously as A2Z Events, a2z Events and Personify A2Z Events, and the short forms are ambiguous in search.

The published feature set explains the buyer. Personify's product page lists an interactive floor plan and exhibitor management, booth and sponsorship sales with online contracts, payment processing and event financials, conference management and call for papers, mobile applications and a networking suite, multi-year and multi-event architecture, year-round online event communities, registration and ticketing, mobile check-in, and reporting and business intelligence (accessed 3 September 2026). That is a show-management system: its centre of gravity is the exhibitor relationship and the revenue attached to it.

So the real question behind the search is which half of a trade show you are trying to fix. If it is the hall — who has which booth, what they signed, what they owe — event67 is not in that market at all and cannot become useful to you by any configuration. If it is the delegate's two days, then the comparison is live, and it comes down to what a branded companion app does for the people walking between the stands.

Two sourcing notes before anything else on this page is read as settled. Personify's product page lists mobile applications and a networking suite, and the Software Advice directory entry records mobile access and check-in, but neither source names iOS or Android explicitly, so we make no claim about which platforms are supported (accessed 3 September 2026). And we could not source any information about organiser-branded app listings, their cost or their lead time on any Personify page we loaded, so this page makes no claim about white-labelling either way. On price there is nothing published at all: buyers are routed to a demo, and the only public figure we found sits on a third-party directory rather than on a vendor page, so we do not repeat it.

What show organisers ask us for on the delegate side — event67's own opinion

Read this as our opinion, because that is all it is. It describes the briefs that land with us and makes no assertion about how any other product is built or what its customers experience.

  • An app badged for the show itself
  • A programme delegates can filter by track
  • Members finding each other between the stands
  • Questions moderated before they reach the stage
  • Photos gathered in one place, safely
  • A published price, agreed before any build

Against our own product record, in the same order. The mobile app is published to the App Store and Google Play under the client's own listing, with the organisation's logo, colours and typography running through every screen. The schedule is day by day and filterable, with tracks, rooms and speakers, updated live, and delegates star sessions into a personal agenda. The attendee directory is searchable by name or company, and QR connections work attendee to attendee — two people scan each other in person, or browse and request a connection remotely. Live Q&A is moderated with upvoting, and approvals for both questions and photos sit in the console. The shared photo album runs open, moderated or admin-only and auto-hides a photo once it is reported. And our rate per activated attendee, with its per-event ceiling, is printed on the pricing page rather than assembled after a demo.

event67 meters activated attendees on a single event. Personify A2Z Events's published model is quote-based — not published. The two are not the same unit, so the figures are not directly comparable.

Every event67 figure on this page is generated at build time from event67's own pricing library rather than typed into the page, so the page and the meter cannot disagree. event67 publishes no performance, capacity or throughput measurement on this page, and makes no comparative measurement of any other product.

How event67 runs a 550-delegate association show

Set the exhibit hall aside — booths, contracts and exhibitor invoicing all stay wherever they live today, because event67 touches none of them. What is left is the conference programme running alongside the show floor, and the delegates moving between the two.

The delegate list imports from CSV and bulk invites go out with per-recipient delivery tracking; invites are unlimited and are never the meter, so inviting the whole membership costs nothing. The console holds sessions, tracks, rooms, speakers and tier-ordered sponsor pages from Platinum to Bronze with logos, bios and links, and the theme editor carries logo, colours and typography through every attendee screen with a WCAG AA contrast advisory that warns and confirms without blocking a save. Roles split super-admins, organisation admins and per-event moderators, which is what a volunteer moderation rota actually needs.

Across the two days, delegates build a personal agenda called My Picks, RSVP to workshops where capacity is enforced server-side with automatic waitlist promotion, connect by QR, ask questions in moderated live Q&A with upvoting, answer polls from the session screen, send reactions during the keynote, rate sessions and route suggestions straight to the organiser, and add photos to a shared album with a full-screen viewer. Apple Wallet passes are issued from the event record and refreshed by the backend during the show, with an iOS Live Activity on the same dispatcher; passes need a signing certificate, so treat that one as available rather than always on. At the door, staff scan a delegate's QR badge against the guest list — a repeat scan after lunch returns "already" rather than an error — while the console shows a live arrivals count and engagement analytics covering active attendees, funnels and top sessions as the show runs. Afterwards the reports page archives every question, poll and photo.

What the example costs, exactly: 550 activated delegates, less the 50 included at no charge, leaves 500 billable attendees at $5 each — $2,500 for the show. Had 1,400 delegates activated, the same event would stop at $4,750, which is the ceiling for one event. Each figure is produced by event67's own pricing library and not hand-entered.

When Personify A2Z Events is the better fit

If the exhibit hall is the business, this is settled before it starts. Interactive floor plans and exhibitor management, booth and sponsorship sales with online contracts, payment processing and event financials are all published parts of the A2Z Events product, and they are the engine of a trade show's revenue (accessed 3 September 2026). event67 has no floor plan, no booth inventory, no exhibitor contracts, no sponsorship sales workflow and no event financials. Not partially — none. A show that sells space cannot run on us, and we will not take the meeting.

The same goes for the parts of the programme that live upstream of the app. Conference management with a call for papers, registration and ticketing, and a multi-year, multi-event architecture that carries a recurring show forward from one year to the next are all on the published feature list (accessed 3 September 2026). event67 has no submission workflow, no peer review, no speaker portal and no ticketing, and it models each event on its own rather than as a series.

There is a structural reason to stay put as well. Personify's own homepage states that it is now part of Momentive Software, and its listed product lines sit alongside association management, membership and community tooling — WildApricot, MC Professional, MC Trade and ThreeSixty among them (accessed 3 September 2026). If your association already runs its membership on that stack, keeping the show inside the same ecosystem has a value that no feature comparison captures: one supplier relationship, one set of member records, one place the historical event data lives.

Year-round online event communities are part of the published offering too, which matters for an association whose members expect somewhere to be between annual meetings. event67 is an event product: it starts when the event is created and it has nothing to say for the eleven months in between.

What event67 does not do

For a trade-show organiser this list is the decision, so it goes in full and without softening. event67 has no:

  • Interactive exhibitor floor plans, hall maps or wayfinding
  • Booth inventory, booth sales or online exhibitor contracts
  • Sponsorship sales workflows or sponsor self-serve portals
  • Exhibitor lead retrieval or booth badge scanning
  • Onsite badge printing, kiosks or printer hardware
  • Registration, ticketing, payment processing or event financials
  • Call for papers, abstract review or speaker portals
  • CEU, CME or PDH credit tracking and certificates
  • Year-round member community sites between events
  • In-app account deletion — deletion runs by email and a web page

Two of those deserve saying twice. Exhibitor is not a persona for us at all: our QR is attendee to attendee, it captures no lead and syncs to no CRM, and calling it lead retrieval would be false. And sponsors get a tier-ordered page in the app — a logo, a bio and a website — not a portal they can log into.

What adding or switching actually involves

  1. Separate the hall from the programme

Booth sales, exhibitor contracts and show financials stay where they are. What moves, if anything moves, is the delegate-facing app and the conference programme inside it.

  2. Export the delegate list

Names, email addresses and any profile fields worth carrying across. event67 imports from CSV, and nothing in the step depends on the other vendor beyond a standard export.

  3. Rebuild the programme and the theme

Sessions, tracks, rooms, speakers and sponsor tiers go into the console; logo, colours and typography go into the theme editor with its WCAG AA advisory. For a two-day show this is a couple of days, not a project.

  4. Invite, then watch activation

Bulk invites carry per-recipient delivery tracking, and a live meter counts activated delegates from the day the event is published. Billing runs 48 hours after the show ends, never before.

The genuinely awkward part is that a trade show's delegate list is not a single artefact. Members, exhibitor staff, speakers and walk-ups arrive from different places at different times, and with no integration between event67 and any show-management system — there is none, and no relationship with the vendor — someone has to own the merge and the top-up import late in the week. The second friction is the install: an app under the association's own name is a new download for every delegate, so the invite email, the Wallet pass and the signage at registration all have to point at it rather than assuming familiarity.

Questions people actually ask

Can event67 replace Personify A2Z Events?

Not for a trade show. A2Z Events publishes interactive floor plans, exhibitor management, booth and sponsorship sales with online contracts, payment processing, event financials, registration and ticketing, and a call for papers (accessed 3 September 2026). event67 has none of those. What it replaces is the delegate-facing app and the organiser console around it — schedule, agenda, directory, QR networking, Q&A, polls, chat, photo album, sponsor pages and Wallet passes.

How much does Personify A2Z Events cost?

As at 3 September 2026, Personify A2Z Events does not publish list pricing and directs buyers to request a quote. Its product page routes to a demo and carries no figures, and the Software Advice directory records no free trial and no free version (accessed 3 September 2026). The only public number we found is a directory-listed starting price rather than a vendor-published one, so we do not repeat it and we will not estimate.

Does it include an attendee app?

Its product page lists mobile applications and a networking suite as part of the platform, and the Software Advice directory entry includes mobile access and check-in (accessed 3 September 2026). Neither source names iOS or Android, so we make no claim about platform support, and we found nothing published about organiser-branded app listings, their cost or lead time. Those are the right questions to put to them directly rather than to infer.

Does event67 do exhibitor lead retrieval?

No, and this is the sharpest boundary on the page. event67's QR is attendee to attendee: two delegates scan each other to connect. It does not capture a lead for an exhibitor, it does not scan a badge at a booth, and it syncs to no CRM. There is also no badge printing and no scanner hardware. If exhibitors expect lead capture as part of their package, event67 does not supply it.

What does event67 cost for a 550-delegate show?

$2,500. The first 50 activated attendees are free and each one after that is $5. A single event never exceeds $4,750, because the price stops moving at 1,000 activated attendees and every attendee beyond that costs nothing. Activated means the delegate claimed their invite and opened the app — not on import and not on delivery. The charge is raised 48 hours after the show ends and emailed before any card is charged.

We run the same show every year. Does event67 handle that?

Each event is created and priced on its own, so a recurring show is a new event each year rather than a series that carries forward automatically. For organisations running several events across a year, a Season Pass buys a prepaid pool of attendee credits that pool across unlimited events and roll over for twelve months; one credit covers one billable attendee, so the 50 included seats still apply on every event.
