What is a personal agenda?

A personal agenda is an attendee's own shortlist of the sessions they intend to attend, saved from the event programme and shown as their schedule for the day.

personal agenda in detail

Also written as my agenda, my schedule, my picks.

A personal agenda is the difference between a programme and a plan. The event has forty sessions; the attendee has six, and those six are what they open the app to see.

In practice at an event

An attendee browses the schedule, stars the sessions they want, and those sessions rise to the top of their own day view. When a starred session moves room or time, that change reaches the person who saved it, which is the whole reason the feature is worth more than a screenshot of the programme.

For the organizer it is a planning instrument. The number of people who saved a given session, a week out, is a better predictor of who will be in the room than registration is — and it arrives early enough to swap rooms.

What to look for

Two behaviours separate a real personal agenda from a bookmark list. Does a saved session update when the schedule changes, and are the people who saved it told? And does the agenda handle clashes usefully rather than silently letting somebody save two things at the same time?

Also check whether building an agenda works before the event, on a laptop, from an email. It is the reason to open the app a week early, which is the single most effective adoption lever an organizer has.

How event67 handles it

Attendees star sessions and they pin to the top of their own day. Changes to a saved session reach the attendee through a notification that deep-links to that session rather than to the app’s home screen. The organizer sees the saved counts in the console, which is what makes a room swap possible while there is still time to make one.
