What is an event app?
An event app is software that carries one specific event for the people attending it — its schedule, its participants, its live interaction and its announcements.
event app in detail
Also written as conference app, attendee app.
“Event app” is the broadest term in this category and the least precise. It covers a schedule published on a web page, a themed listing inside a vendor’s shared app, and a full platform that also handles registration and badging. Because of that spread, the term on its own tells a buyer very little.
In practice at an event
Whatever the shape, an event app does the same job for an attendee: it answers what is on, where, who else is here, and how do I take part. It replaces a printed programme that goes stale the moment a session moves, and it adds the things paper cannot do — a personal agenda, an upvoted question queue, a live poll, a notification when a room changes.
What to look for
The single most useful distinction is between an attendee app and a full event-management suite. An attendee app does the schedule, the people and the live interaction, and assumes you already have registration. A suite also sells tickets, prints badges and sometimes streams video, at several times the price.
Buying a suite when you needed an app means paying for registration you already have. Buying an app when you needed a suite means discovering in week six that nothing sells a ticket. Work out which one you are shopping for before you compare any feature list.
How event67 handles it
event67 is an attendee app with an organizer console, not a suite, and the boundary is deliberate rather than a work in progress. It covers everything an attendee opens an app for and everything an organizer needs to run the room. Registration, ticketing, badge printing, streaming and exhibitor lead retrieval are outside it. If you are comparing products, that is the line to check first, because it decides which half of the price range you are in.
