Eventee (eventee.co) alternative: event67, metered per activated attendee
This is the closest head-to-head on our site, so it deserves precision rather than positioning. Eventee (eventee.co) and event67 both build a conference app around a schedule, a personal agenda, live Q&A, polls, push notifications and analytics, and both publish a branded app to the App Store and Google Play under the organiser's own name. The difference is not the feature grid. It is how scale is bought: Eventee sells attendee capacity in tiers, and event67 meters attendees who actually activate, with the total for one event stopping at a fixed ceiling.

Where does the next 50 attendees go — a tier, or a meter?
Take the branded app off the table first, because it usually does our arguing for us and here it does not. Eventee (eventee.co) (Eventee is a trademark of Eventee s.r.o.) publishes a white-label page describing a native app for iOS and Android carrying the organiser's own icon, name and description on the app stores, available to single-event and multi-event customers, with pricing routed to a contact-sales conversation and a store-timeline question left unanswered in its own FAQ (eventee.com white-label page, accessed 3 September 2026). Its everyday attendee app is a shared container listed as 'Eventee - Your Event Buddy' under seller Eventee s.r.o. with 2,205 ratings, alongside a separate check-in application for staff (Apple, accessed 3 September 2026). event67 publishes the organiser's own listing as the standard shape rather than an upgrade, but a reader who wants a branded store entry can get one from either vendor and should say so out loud when comparing quotes.
What is left is the pricing architecture, and it genuinely differs. Eventee's pricing page publishes named plans, each with a per-event attendee cap: three pay-per-event plans capped at 200, 500 and 1,000 attendees per event, and three annual plans bundling three, six and twelve events a year at 500, 1,000 and 3,000 attendees per event, with the annual tiers adding check-in, badge printing and group management and the largest routed to a contact-us conversation (eventee.com/pricing, accessed 3 September 2026). Figures live on Eventee's page and in the table this page generates; we do not restate them here.
That structure means capacity is bought in steps. Crossing an attendee cap moves you to the next plan; sitting just under one means you have paid for headroom you did not use. event67's curve has no steps in it. The first 50 activated attendees are free, every activated attendee after that adds the same published unit, and the total stops moving at 1,000 activated attendees, after which additional people cost nothing. An attendee counts only once they have claimed their invite and opened the app — not when you import a list, not when an invite is delivered — so a padded list is free and a no-show is free.
The free paths differ in shape too, and both are real. Eventee advertises an unlimited free trial requiring no credit card and describes the product as 'free until you are ready to launch' (eventee.com, accessed 3 September 2026), which is a build-and-preview state that converts at launch. event67's free tier is the opposite arrangement: one genuinely live event, up to 50 activated attendees, whole feature set, full branded theme, bulk invites, no card and no clock. Neither is more generous in the abstract; they are generous at different moments, and which one suits you depends on whether your risk sits in the build or in the first event.
The asks behind these conversations — event67's own opinion
Read this section as advocacy, because it is. It records what organisers tell us they want when they are choosing between two similar conference apps, and it makes no factual claim about anyone else's software.
- No cliff when the room grows by twenty
- Pay for people who actually turned up
- A branded listing without a sales conversation
- Organiser email that matches the app theme
- One console for approvals, chat and analytics
- A ceiling they can put in a budget
Measured against our product inventory, here is what event67 actually provides. The curve is continuous, so an extra twenty delegates adds twenty units and nothing else changes. Metering starts at activation, which means claimed and opened, so unopened invites never appear on a bill. The branded store listing is the standard delivery rather than a tier. The console carries email campaigns and templates with a themed, branded signature footer on every send, plus forms whose responses land back in the console and tracked links for branded click reporting. Approvals, admin-only team chat with reactions, replies, delivery ticks and an audit trail, and live engagement analytics all sit in the same console rather than in separate products. And the per-event total has a published ceiling that a finance team can sign off in advance.
Eventee (eventee.co) and event67, row by row
Every cell in the Eventee (eventee.co) column is quoted or summarised from a page we loaded ourselves, with the link and the date beside it. A row we could not source is not softened, it is removed. event67 meters activated attendees on a single event. Eventee (eventee.co)'s published model is published tiered pricing, per event or annual multi-event. The two are not the same unit, so the figures are not directly comparable.
Every event67 figure on this page is generated at build time from event67's own pricing library rather than typed into the page, so the page and the meter cannot disagree. event67 publishes no performance, capacity or throughput measurement on this page, and makes no comparative measurement of any other product.

A 420-person regional conference on event67
Four hundred and twenty is a deliberately awkward number, chosen because it sits between the round figures that tiered plans are built around. On event67 it is not awkward at all; it is simply four hundred and twenty.
The organiser creates the event, themes it so that logo, colours and typography reach every screen, and imports the list by CSV. The theme editor tests each colour pair against WCAG AA and reports what it found — advisory only, never a block on saving. Invites go out in bulk with per-recipient delivery tracking. In the room, delegates filter a day-by-day schedule by track, star sessions into My Picks, RSVP to workshops with capacity enforced server-side and automatic waitlist promotion, scan QR codes to connect with each other, search the directory by name or company, ask and upvote questions in moderated live Q&A, answer polls from the session screen, send reactions during keynotes, rate sessions and send suggestions straight to the organiser, and add to a shared photo album that runs open, moderated or admin-only with auto-hide on report. Organisers scan badges at the door — a repeat scan returns 'already' rather than an error — watch a live arrivals count, publish or schedule announcements that deep-link to the exact post or thread, and read engagement analytics during the conference. Apple Wallet passes issue from the event record and refresh from the backend as it runs, subject to a signing certificate being configured, with an iOS Live Activity driven by the same dispatcher.
Exactly what that costs: 420 activated attendees, less the 50 included at no charge, leaves 370 billable attendees at $5 each — $1,850 for the conference. Add sixty walk-ins and it becomes $2,150; the curve simply continues. At 1,000 activated attendees the total reaches $4,750 and stops there permanently, and at 50 or fewer the event costs $0. Calculated from event67's published pricing curve rather than typed in by hand.
When Eventee (eventee.co) is the better fit
Three real reasons, and the first is about how you buy rather than what you get. Eventee publishes named plans with attendee caps and event counts on its own pricing page, including annual bundles covering three, six and twelve events a year (accessed 3 September 2026). An organiser running a predictable calendar of similar-sized events gets a single annual number to budget against, which is administratively simpler than a per-event meter — one purchase order instead of several, one renewal date, no arithmetic between events. If your finance team prefers a fixed annual line to a variable one, that is a legitimate preference and Eventee is shaped for it.
Second, feature coverage that event67 genuinely lacks. Eventee's published feature set includes B2B networking with matchmaking and a swipe-based connection flow, gamification with leaderboards, a social wall for attendee-generated content, and a free no-code event website builder; its annual plans add check-in with badge printing and group management (eventee.com and eventee.com/pricing, accessed 3 September 2026). event67 has no matchmaking, no gamification of any kind, no badge printing and no public marketing-site builder — our attendee web surface is deliberately kept out of search indexes. Any one of those on a requirement list is enough to decide this.
Third, attendee familiarity in the shared app. Eventee's container listing on the App Store, 'Eventee - Your Event Buddy' under seller Eventee s.r.o., carries 2,205 ratings (Apple, accessed 3 September 2026), and a delegate who has used it at another conference installs nothing new. If your audience circulates through a European conference circuit, some proportion of them already have it. A branded listing is a fresh install for absolutely everyone, every time, and that is a cost we should not talk our way around.
What event67 does not do
The full list, published so a procurement checklist can be run against it before anyone books a demo. None of this exists in event67 today:
- Matchmaking, swipe-based connection flows and intent scoring
- Gamification: points, leaderboards, badges and challenges
- A public, indexable event website or marketing-site builder
- Onsite badge printing, kiosks or printer hardware
- Attendee registration, ticketing and payment collection
- Paid forms — our forms collect responses, never money
- Exhibitor lead retrieval and booth badge scanning
- Virtual and hybrid streaming, breakouts and on-demand video
- Call for papers, abstract submission and speaker portals
- In-app account deletion, which runs via email and a web page
One clarification, since both products use the word: event67 does check-in, in the sense of scanning an attendee's QR badge at the door against a guest list. It does not print anything. There is no printer integration and no kiosk hardware anywhere in the product.
What switching actually involves
Model both prices against your real headcount
Not your registration list — your expected activations. On a tiered plan the relevant question is which cap you land under; on event67 it is how many people claim an invite and open the app. Do this before anything else, because at some headcounts it settles the decision on its own.
Export delegates, sessions and speakers
event67 imports attendees from CSV. Sessions, tracks, rooms, speakers and sponsors are entered in the console. Both products organise a programme the same way, so this maps across cleanly.
Decide what happens to the event website
event67's attendee web site is noindex by deliberate decision, so it will not serve as your public marketing page. If your current site is doing that job, plan to keep it or rebuild it elsewhere.
Theme, invite, watch the meter run
Logo, colours and typography flow through every screen with the WCAG AA advisory alongside. Bulk invites carry per-recipient delivery tracking, and the console meter counts activated attendees from publication day. Billing follows 48 hours after the event ends, with the amount emailed first.
The genuinely awkward part is a returning audience. If your delegates have used the same shared app at your last three editions, moving to a listing under your own name asks them to install something and find it again, and the muscle memory is gone. It is a communications problem rather than a technical one — the invite email, the Wallet pass and the registration signage all have to carry the install — but it is a real cost and it lands on the attendee rather than on you.

Questions people actually ask
Does Eventee (eventee.co) offer an app under my own name?
Yes. Eventee's white-label page describes a native iOS and Android app carrying the organiser's own icon, name and description on the app stores, available to single-event and multi-event customers, with pricing routed to contact sales; its own FAQ lists a question about store timelines without answering it on the page (accessed 3 September 2026). event67 ships the organiser's own store listing as standard rather than as an upgrade tier. On this point the two are closer than most pages in this category.
How is Eventee (eventee.co) priced?
In two shapes, both published on its own pricing page as at 3 September 2026: pay-per-event plans capped at 200, 500 and 1,000 attendees per event, and annual plans bundling three, six and twelve events a year at 500, 1,000 and 3,000 attendees per event, with the largest routed to contact us. Annual tiers add check-in, badge printing and group management. Capacity is bought by moving up a plan rather than metered. Read the figures on Eventee's own pricing page, which may change at any time.
What does event67 cost for a 420-person conference?
$1,850. The first 50 activated attendees are free, each activated attendee after that is $5, and one event never exceeds $4,750 in total. There are no attendee caps and no plan to move up: the same curve runs from 51 attendees to 1,000, and beyond 1,000 additional attendees cost nothing. Activated means claimed the invite and opened the app, so imports and undelivered invites never reach a bill.
Which has the better free option?
They are free at different moments, and the honest answer depends on where your risk sits. Eventee advertises an unlimited free trial with no credit card and describes the product as 'free until you are ready to launch' (accessed 3 September 2026) — a build-and-preview state that converts when you go live. event67 is free for one genuinely live event up to 50 activated attendees, with the whole feature set and no card. A small event runs free end to end on event67; a large build is free to prepare on Eventee.
Does event67 do networking and matchmaking?
Networking yes, matchmaking no. event67 provides an attendee directory searchable by name or company, QR codes two attendees scan in person to connect, and a browse-and-request flow for remote attendees. There is no matchmaking engine, no swipe-based connection flow, no intent scoring and no meeting scheduler. Eventee publishes B2B networking with matchmaking including a swipe-based flow on its own site (accessed 3 September 2026).
Can event67 print badges at the door?
No. event67 scans an attendee's QR badge at check-in against the guest list, with a repeat scan returning 'already' rather than an error, and it shows a live arrivals count on a console widget. It has no badge printing, no printer integration and no kiosk hardware. Eventee's annual plans publish check-in with badge printing (accessed 3 September 2026). If you print on site, budget for a separate badging vendor alongside event67.
